Boynton Beach nightlife is mostly on the water. The bands, happy hours and late tables are at the restaurants around Boynton Harbor Marina and on the Intracoastal, with a craft brewery west of I-95 and the city’s free monthly street party downtown. For a bigger night out, Delray Beach’s Atlantic Avenue is about five miles south.

Live music

Banana Boat, 739 E. Ocean Ave. A waterfront seafood restaurant with live music and outdoor seating. Its music schedule lists bands on Friday nights (about 7 to 10 p.m.), Saturday nights (about 8 to 11 p.m.) and Sunday afternoons (about 1 to 4 p.m.). Happy hour is 3 to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday at the bar (website).

Two Georges Waterfront Grille, 728 Casa Loma Blvd. On the Intracoastal at the marina, with a thatch-roof bar. Live music runs 5 to 8 p.m. Fridays and 4 to 7 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, and happy hour is 3 to 6 p.m. weekdays, according to its What’s On page. It also bills itself as a spot to watch college and NFL football.

First Friday @ 5, Centennial Park and Amphitheater, 120 E. Ocean Ave. The city’s free monthly evening of food trucks and live music downtown, on the first Friday of each month (city listing). The city says Friday evening music regularly happens at the Centennial Park amphitheater (public art and culture page).

Bars and breweries

Copperpoint Brewing Company, 151 Commerce Road. A craft brewery just west of I-95 between Gateway Boulevard and Hypoluxo Road, off High Ridge Road. Hours: 2 to 10 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, noon to 10 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, noon to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday and noon to 8 p.m. Sunday, with food trucks on a posted schedule and weekday happy hour from 3 to 6 p.m. (website, events).

Prime Catch, 700 E. Woolbright Road. A waterfront seafood restaurant whose bar, Prime Island, sits out on the Intracoastal. Open 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday, with happy hour 3 to 6 p.m. every weekday (website).

Arts and shows

The Boynton Beach Arts & Cultural Center, 125 E. Ocean Ave., has a second-floor event hall with a stage under a 39-foot dome, and the city posts ticketed shows on its Special Ticketed Events page, which read “coming soon” as of Oct. 8. Arts center: 561-742-6221.
