Fireworks at home

Florida law allows consumer fireworks on three designated holidays: Independence Day, July 4; New Year’s Eve, Dec. 31; and New Year’s Day, Jan. 1, under section 791.08 of the Florida Statutes. A properly recorded homeowners association covenant can still ban them, though an HOA board cannot make a new rule that takes the right away. Call 911 for a fire or injury.
