Florida gave South Tech Prep an A in its 2026 school grades, after an A in 2025. The school earned 72% of the points possible, according to the Florida Department of Education’s 2026 school grades file.

2026 school grade measure Result
School grade A (72% of points)
English language arts achievement 77%
Math achievement 68%
2025 school grade A

Achievement is the share of tested students who scored on grade level on the state’s tests. Florida grades every public school A to F from those test results, students’ learning gains, science and social studies results and, for middle and high schools, acceleration and graduation measures, the columns of the state’s file show. For a middle school, A is 64% of possible points or more, B is 57% to 63%, C is 44% to 56% and D is 34% to 43%, the file says.

The full report card, with test results by subject and student group, is on the state’s school report card for South Tech Prep. It is an interactive dashboard; the figures above come from the state’s downloadable file, linked from its school grades page.

How admission works

South Tech Prep is a public charter school, so it has no attendance zone. SouthTech Schools begins its new-student admissions each March. If applications exceed capacity, it runs a lottery to choose students at random, and admission decisions are mailed each April, according to its apply page, which lists extra documents required for the middle school only.

The district’s charter school directory lists the school’s current charter term as July 1, 2019, to June 30, 2029.

Calendar and bell times

The district’s 2026-27 charter school directory lists the school day as 8:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. For the school’s own calendar, see its website. The district’s key dates for its own schools are on its 2026-27 calendar.
